Manar is an award-winning Emirati journalist, writer, published author, serial entrepreneur and a marketing and communications consultant based in Abu Dhabi.
She previously worked as senior vice president and director of corporate communications and CSR at Abu Dhabi Investment Company.
She was named Arab Woman of the Year in 2011 and included in the list of 100 inspirational individuals in the UAE in 2012 and 2014. Manar is an avid writer, speaker and a thought leader.
She’s the co-founder and Storyteller-in-Chief of Sekka, an online magazine and platform that is dedicated to documenting the stories of the Arab Gulf States, the experiences of its people, and sharing them with the world.
Sekka aims to provide their audience with an authentic insight and guide to one of the most important and misunderstood regions in the world, narrated by the people who are from and live there. Sekka is managed by Khaleejis and narrated primarily by the people of the Arab Gulf States.
